Race, Religion and Nation

Adam wrote an excellent piece on this here, and I urge you all to read it.

Adam is a proper Catholic (Sedevacantist) and has got this point about race and religion right.

Nevertheless, I, as a Venetian, have some more nuanced view (or extremist, take your pick).

My country, my nation, has been usurped and annexed first by the French under that megalomaniac Napoleon, and essentially dissolved by the French on 12 May 1797,

He then gave it to the Austrians, who then gave it to the Italians in 1805 (under Napoleon still) but then took it back by force in 1814 with help of the English. Between then and 1866 it went back to independence, then back to Austria, then back to France, then finally to the Italian Kingdom in 1866. Despite this, there has been an undercurrent of Venetian wish for return to independence that has never ended, and that will never end.

On April 25th 2016 I was in St. Mark’s Square during the traditional feast for the patron Saint of Venice. The mayor started out strong claiming Venetian nationality but then went full diversity and the crowd pretty much turned their backs on him with not a few shouts of “bastard” and “traitor”.

It was more than the Catholic religion that held those people together and that calls to me too. Despite my having never felt any loyalty to Italy as a country in general, I feel one towards Venice.

I grew up all over the world and when I lived in Cape Town for over a decade, I loved that city, and the sea, and when I would come back to it after a trip, driving in, seeing the Ocean below I always wondered “Is this my place?“ I liked it and I had chosen it, but it never felt truly mine, even though I liked it more than any place I had been before. It was much later, in 2004 or so when I worked in Aviano’s US base that on one of my forthrightly trips to London, when the plane took a turn over it and I saw the waterways and laguna not close to the city really, that instinctively, powerfully, seeing that desolate and water-logged land from the porthole-like window of the plane, I felt a pull in my chest and the words came into my mind unbidden:

That is my land.

I was shocked by it. I had been a nomad all my life and spent more time in various countries in Africa than I ever had in Europe. I had refused and avoided military service in Italy thanks to having lived overseas since a young age, but on principle I hated the idea of being enrolled in a military if not by my own choice.

I knew my grandfather was Venetian and I went there on holiday with him and my grandmother as a little boy of 2 and 3 years old, where they (both champion swimmers) taught me to swim.

I loved the sea, unlike my brother who was scared of it as a little boy.

But I barely had ever taught of Venice or being Venetian. But from that day, that visceral, instinctive pull made me aware of it.

Then in 2016 I lived in Venice for a year and there it become clear. This was, my city. And the Venetians, ornery critters that they are, are recognisably my people, both in the things I detest about them as well as those I like.

There is more to it than mere religion, though I agree it is the main glue that binds a people.

And there is more to it than race, for it has never prevented me from loving a person I cared about, although differences are undeniable, even if we happen to share a religion.

But there is a deeper sense yet, and it might be in the blood, genetics, or maybe there is even a link to the soil, because I can no more explain why a place I was not born or lived in for my entire life other than one year in 2016 should have ever had such a pull on me, in 2004, and when seen from the air that. And not the city or the glory of it, but the swamps and waterways unpopulated by anyone other than birds and fish.

So, yes, while religion binds us above all, so does race and even nation.

Venetians have always been a mixed breed of bastards, because we travelled and explored and traded with the whole world, and we partook of pretty women wherever we went and the Venetian girls were known throughout Europe for being if not easy to keep, certainly adventurous.

We are not phased by difference from us. I certainly have never been. But that is not to say we don’t recognise it.

We are a nation of explorers, and explorers try and do and see. And they learn to appreciate it all; even as we remain ourselves.

My children have a Venetian father and an English mother, and already, I can see, like me, (and their mother too) they are curious and explorers at heart, and like us, they too, are people of the sea.

And I will teach them their ancient history. And see they ignore the lies of the demons trying to conquer us all and make us all the same.

Africa has always been ahead of America

A lot of first world citizens, really have only a tenuous grasp on reality. But don’t worry, I am here to help. Just as I predicted way back a year ago, though I have been trying to explain that to people (without bitch-slapping them to prove the point, you understand) for years, physical reality beats any and all propaganda. Just like physical engineering beats any and all scientific theory about how something is supposed to work.

Africa has always been relatively impenetrable at a high resolution.

Oh, sure, whole countries were nominally aligned with the USA or the old USSR or now China, and so on. Sure. Down at ground level, however, the initiatives of things like transgenderism, homosexuality as being “normal”, or worse, homosexual sex being taught in schools to underage children, was never going to take. Oh you can poison them, inject them with gene altering or sterilising “vaccines”, as the foundations of Bill Gates have done for years. You can kill Africans in large numbers, rig their elections, and do all of that stuff. But in reality, at ground level, they will never comply.

There have been experiments done in South Africa, in order to try and shake off the yoke of sanctions due to apartheid, where they gave productive and already ongoing farmland to Africans, along with all the machinery, all the training and all the tools to keep the farms going and being profitable. After the training and so on, they also told the natives that if they had any problems, for example one of the tractors broke down, or they ran out of fuel for not having called earlier, or whatever else, they just had to call and some white guys would be along to fix it. Guess what happened after a year or so, without few, if any, calls being made for help?

The place was completely reduced to abandoned status, machines broken, fields unworked, and so on.

Now, various African states are kicking out their (nominally) French masters (but really the usual suspects, which we will explain exactly who they are in a subsequent post), starting with Niger, then Mali, Burkina Faso, and now Gabon.

BRICS, seems to also be doing a bit of a number on the USA deep state, but, as we will see later, this is questionable to some degree. That said, what is not arguable is that the African Nations are doing a bit of a Zimbabwe.

And although I still have family out in the Southern region of the continent, from an objective perspective: Good on them.

And the Russians are the only ones that understood how to actually deal with and/or get the Africans “on side” as it were. Give them some weapons, point out the enemy and then let them get on with it. There is no guarantee they won’t turn to bite you later, but… eh… that’s Africa. The Chinese take the long approach and hope to change the situation over several generations. Good luck with that, boys.

Africa is a continent that by and large is sort of immune to the globalism of the Gay, Transgender, Fake, Talmudic, Bankers and overall self-identified “Masters of the Universe”. The only way Africa would ever be “tamed” is by literally exterminating all the Africans. So, although it certainly is not going to be a place where having a white skin is necessarily going to be an advantage in the coming decades, I think Africa will prove to be more of a messy thorn in the side of the USA and their de facto deep state operators and (((masters))). In that sense, Africa has always been ahead of all American attempts at bringing it to heel.

So: Good luck, my black brothers. I wish you well. And with any luck, we will also eventually help, by sending your co-nationals back to you. After all, as Putin says, a multi-polar world, is best. And true diversity is really achieved only by having distinct nations of distinct ethnicities. After all, the Jews certainly think it should be this way, look at Israel. And we know that ethnic homogeneity brings a complete lowering or even absence of crime. Let us then, work towards global peace, for real. Africa for Africans, and Europe for Europeans. Once that’s sorted, we can then go about being good neighbours, thanks to great big, walls, and experiencing true diversity of cultures, food, behaviours and so on. By visiting each other’s countries only as guests and/or legal and approved residents, due to some relevant and acceptable need, all, of course, while observing the required local customs and laws.

Increasing pressure and the space of variations

This will be rather esoteric, and not for everyone.

Some of you may have read the book by Vadim Zeland, called Reality Transurfing, which is currently selling for over 400 dollars. I have no idea why that would be, other than possible sanctions against anything Russian?

Anyway, I read 3 or 4 of his books and while information on him is scant (he says he worked in quantum physics and later in IT and now in books) the fact is that his explanation of reality made a certain sense. Not just to me, and not just because it was a kind of woo-woo New age, you control your own destiny, kind of thing, but because he spoke of things I had experienced on various levels.

The physics also made sense, if like me, you have spent a few decades reading various concepts of physics for fun, and concluded that people like Harold Aspen had it right more than plagiarists like Albert Einstein.

Or if you’re at all familiar with the work of now passed on, retired Lt. Col. Thomas Bearden. Or the physics model of Burkhard Heim, which include a model that describes and defines consciousness within a unified field theory. perhaps because he was German and invented some very powerful bombs, used in WW2 (which also crippled him severely after an accident with one of his experiments, or perhaps because he worked mostly alone (due to his disabilities), but his work is largely unknown and when understood, the applications are so “out there” for normal people that most probably just assume it’s rubbish. But it’s not.

In fact, the US military has attempted to use at least some of these theories and ideas to attempt remote viewing by use of astral travel. In doing so, they actually came to discover, quite a lot of weird stuff. Here is the report that explains it all pretty much (including the missing page).

Of course, there will be people, many, maybe even most, that will assume all this is rubbish, or that it’s fantastic nonsense designed to further confuse and so on, and even those who do think it is real and has real world application will assume it’s too hard to understand or use for themselves in their own lives.

To some extent, this last point is true… IF you had to grasp all the physics nd all the math and all the various terminologies. But you do not have to.

In fact if you are also familiar with the work of a Russian scientist that produced some incredible results (which I verified really happened, and I discussed in more detail in my book Systema), called Peter Garajev, it sort of brings all these things together and explains why altered states of consciousness, like hypnosis and so on, can, have and do, produce some inexplicable effects. As I am also one of the very few people on Earth that has read almost everything Milton Erickson wrote, and have practiced hypnosis for over 15 years now, I am probably one of the few people that has at least a working knowledge of what is possible with these theories and the engineering of this knowledge for real effects.

Add to that my understanding of antigravity machines and their discovery/use etc since WW2, and at the very least, it makes for some interesting reading of my fiction books.

And in fact, the easiest way to describe what can be done with this information is in the form of a story. Or… sadly, a con. A lie, wrapped in a thin veneer of reality. Things like The Secret, The law of Attraction and so on, are so popular, because they resonate with a deeper truth on some level. But, just as with prayer, you’re not going to get results by simply repeating a million times over that “I’m a millionaire, now!”

Hypnosis is useful and produces real effects, when used correctly and expertly, which is a rare skill among hypnotists. In fact, most hypnotists, like most therapists, are really not very good and many of them are terrible, or potentially even harmful. The ones that are good are few and far between, and with hypnotists this is even more pronounced.

So is prayer, if you do it correctly, which I explained in Believe! and on YouTube.

AAAAAANNNYWAY…

The point of this rather long and detailed introduction (I joke, if I were gonna do a half- detailed job it would have to span probably about 200-300 pages) is that there is an element of truth to the concept that our “thoughts” or “vibrational frequency” which is somewhat more accurate, create reality.

Given the extreme sense of oppression and fear that the last three years have instilled in the average human, there is some scope for thinking that the looking glass project not only is a real thing, but that the evil people that have access/control of it, among other things, have tried their damnedest to twist the mass consciousness of humanity towards the lowest order possible. According to the original video/audio linked above, which came out in the 1990s, the convergence of timelines to a point that would result in a mass leap upwards (up being good) of general human consciousness was inevitable although the timeline could be stretched out but supposedly not stopped, regardless of what moves the cabal in charge did.

BUT

There are a few possibilities, possibly, by gaming various scenarios, the cabal realised that by injecting a large percentage of the population with material that somehow impeded certain higher level functions relating to consciousness/vibrational increase and so on, then the timeline could be stretched out considerably/indefinitely, especially is they killed off the remainder that did not get injected with the genetic modifying serums. And they certainly seem to be on that path by reducing the state of health providers across the globe, where they could not manage to corrupt them, which, as we know was a very successful strategy.

Secondly, by altering our food, introducing the same genetic modifying elements directly into the food supply, as well as limiting the amount and quality of real, organic, decent food, and ultimately spraying us all with the now absolutely prevalent chemtrails that are a stable all over the Western world, though not as yet as prevalent in Africa and so on.

This would certainly explain the approach, which has been to target Western caucasian populations primarily; that is, those people most able and likely to deal with high-minded abstract concepts requiring a vast mix of disciplines all at a relatively high level of cognisance.

It also explains the apparently indiscriminate spraying us all with the heavy metals and other chemicals that are essentially neurotoxins, designed to reduce our ability to naturally be in tune with our deepest inner self.

If the demon-infested cretins like Bill Gates are already operating at that sewer level frequency, and if that is the primary goal of the chemtrails, to reduce us to short-attention span, neurologically damaged cripples, then it explains why they seem to be unconcerned with this. I mean, look at them, to the Soros, Gates, Schwabs of the world look like brilliant minds possessed of a higher level of consciousness to you? It’s obvious they are spiritual goblins, and very often their exterior countenance reflects this too.

As for those that somehow may remain unjabbed and healthy, they are also, due to all the above vast illness and death that surrounds them, unlikely to be able to raise their own day-to-day “vibrational frequency” to be in tune with what we might call “divine alignment”.

So what is one to do?

There are a number of concepts you should at least be aware of before that question can be answered in a way that is meaningful to you, so settle in for another introduction.

Firstly, with respect to prayer/divine alignment etc. numbers count for little. One person able to produce a positive “frequency” regularly and constantly, or even just by flashes from time to time, can affect huge numbers of people and events. This is related to a law of resonance that applies to human beings and in fact all living beings as much as it does to tuning forks. It is the reason why when in the presence of certain people you feel lighter, happier and more relaxed and quite the opposite when near psychic vampires. These effects have actually been measured in lab conditions and are real.

Secondly, if you are thinking that regardless of your personal intensity/power/vibrational frequency level, the mass of humanity in a negative state is too big to meaningfully affect, there are at least two major flaws with that concept: the first is that you clearly are not in a truly faithful frame if you harbour this doubt, and when it comes to prayer, the key is always what from the outside appears to be an absurd subjective view of reality, but in truth is the actual fundament of how reality really works. The mountain really does come to you, if your belief is not mere wishful thinking, but actual unwavering faith. So… the doubt itself is a tell, you can use it as a feedback mechanism concerning if you are contemplating a good outcome from the right frame of mind or not. See my video on prayer I linked to above.

The second flaw is one that Vadim Zeland discusses and that is that in his view it is quite possible to “escape” this reality. In his explanation of it, there is a vast “ocean” of possibilities, or variations, and our mind (soul/existence/energetic vibrational frequency that constitutes you) is like a tiny flashlight, illuminating a specific area of this vast/potentially infinite space of variations. By changing your focus and energetic frequency, you can “shine” your “light” on a different section of the “ocean” and in effect, become part of a different reality. He goes so far as to explain how many people simply seem to disappear from this world without leaving any trace. And there certainly have been reports of all sorts of strange occurrences that range from travelling through wormholes, covering large distances in short periods of time, that have been confirmed by radar tower readings from both departure and arrival in the case of one light aircraft, and many other strange occurrences. One could even mention the “mechanical elves” that people who take drugs encounter in a fairly consistent manner, but this is in no way any kind of intimation that taking any drugs is good or worthwhile or necessary to access the things I am briefly discussing here.

Nor, even if you did everything in an orderly manner in order to try to shift your reality am I saying it is necessarily a good idea. If you do believe in the possibility of somehow travelling through various planes of reality, or shifting your position in it, you need to also appreciate that by the same token, it is entirely possible that such activities or portals can lead you to places undesirable, and/or give you access to undesirable beings. At the risk of sounding Lovecraftian, messing with these things can literally drive people insane. You’d be attempting to explore alternate realities or dimensions that are almost entirely unknown and which, in many, maybe even most cases, can or seem to have rather nefarious beings in them that do not have our best interest at heart.

So. Why mention all this stuff at all then?

Because I believe that prayer, a positive outlook rooted deeply in faith whose cornerstone is love, gratefulness, grace and beauty, can, and does affect material reality. I believe it does so at a very basic, simple worldly level that is undeniable even to skeptics. having a positive outlook that is genuine —rather than a “pretend” one, or “act as if” while harbouring deep doubts— has undoubted benefits ranging from purely physical health, to more indirect, but still very materialistic results. if you are more relaxed and open to seeing the positive you will see more potential opportunities, and as long as you are relatively balanced on a worldly level, these will be likely to provide at least some of the time, positive outcomes.

More esoterically, if enough of us “vibrate at that frequency” the effect on the space of variations may well be of shifting a larger chunk of reality into a part of that “ocean” that has much better general outcomes for humanity as a whole. The mass extinction event of the types of people that organise chemtrails and pushed the fake “vaccines” would certainly be a good start. A return to sane logic, sound civilisational principles of real Catholicism and so on would make for a glorious time on this Earth.

Errr… ok then Mr. Kurgan, so… WHAT exactly should I be doing?

Now, looking at all the various data points concerning the war in Ukraine, the subjugated puppet status of the overwhelming majority of Western governments to the deep State of the (((USA))) and so on, the fear is designed to continue to rise.

I say the only correct (and relatively easy to achieve) preventative method of becoming anxious, afraid, weakened other words, by these Danes, or anything else, is the true, deep, knowledge of God, Jesus Christ and the Church. While it is in some ways “easier” to access certain states, or possibly even planes of existence, as some kind of natural Pagan or heather being, you certainly can’t be sure you will end up in a good place or attract the attention of anything good. While a correct, fervent, faith in Jesus Christ, God the Father and the Holy Spirit, will and does set your mind at ease and in peace, AND provides also a sanctuary, a fortress within which you are quite safe from the mental aggravations and spiritual predations these evil Cabal-Goblins are trying to foster on us.

And, convinced as those of us are in our faith, only a few of us should be enough to form initially small communities, and later, larger ones.

So, at the risk of sounding no different from the average hippie, do try to keep the truth deeply with you. Reject that which is false and use your own judgement, but remember, if you will not eat a whole apple because of a bruised spot, then you still have much to learn.

The pressure on you to feel pressured is increasing daily. Reject it, be safe and confident, and act and follow through to ensure the safety, independence and well-being of yourself and your loved ones, and do it clearly and unambiguously wherever and whenever you can. It inspires others, it rejects fear and makes you a reference point for many others that you are not even aware of, and never will be aware of, but it has a positive effect anyway.

Go Motor Home for Young Family

I will be doing a scattered series of posts, each focussing in general terms on one demographic. The aim is not to scare you or terrorise you into believing the sky is about to fall. Which is not to say that the sky is not about to fall either. These are more like notes on how I would be preparing if my situation was as described in each post. Whether this is just an exposé of my paranoid tendencies, or whether your foolish optimism will see you eaten by cannibals in the coming economic crash, only time will tell.

I presume the reality, for most, will lie somewhere in between. My personal philosophy, of course, and rather sensibly, even if I say so myself, is that if I am prepared for the marauding bands of cannibals, then if anything less that that happens, I’ll be fine.

I will probably post this introduction ahead of each of the mini Kurgan Survival Guide Posts.

Enjoy.

The last post was for the single guy or possibly young couple. This one is for what in many ways might be considered middle-America and/or middle Europe, though in Europe the likelihood if a couple with one child. But… that said, we have met couples with 4 children too. Anyway, the demographic is of people that have some young-ish children, are not financially well off, and yet, have now realised, perhaps, while the zombie apocalypse might not quite yet be upon us all, it may be a good idea to be prepared anyway.

So, all the things said for the single guy work here too, but the hierarchy may change a bit, given you now have children:

My take on serous SHTF situations os always pretty much the same in terms of hierarchy of needs.

1. Weapons

2. Mobility

3. Safe Location

4. Relevant maps and books on skills you don’t have

5. Medical Stuff

6. Basic Survival Gear

Particularly, the Safe Location needs to be really quite a bit safer, which doesn’t necessarily mean child-friendly, but it does need to be secure or easily made secure. Having a proper tent if you do not have a motor-home would be very advisable, and possibly even if you do have a motor home.

Given that I am assuming such people are renting, don’t own their own home and are surviving month to month, with little or no savings, I think that my priority in such a case would be to buy a decent motor-home type vehicle. Spend the cash to have it checked over properly by the AA if buying second hand and get insurance on the check. Not because anyone will cash in the insurance in the Apocalypse, but because if they think they might, they are more likely to do a decent check of the mechanics.

Kit that motor home out so that you can run it for a lot longer then it’s supposed to. Get professionally made extended fuel tanks if you can, extended water carrying ability, stock up on medical supplies and food and of course, weapons and ammo. In essence, be ready to get in the motor home with your whole family and move to that plot of land near your 4th cousins in the Appalachians with no teeth and lots of bear traps.

Maps of extensive ares oaf land are to be kept in the motor-home, since you may not be able to rely on GPS etc, or, depending on where you live, you may not even want to have mobile phones, and GPS tracking etc etc. For all I know, in crazy AmeriKa, the blues will hunt down the reds using drones and militarised police. I have no idea. But like I always said since I was a teenager: “Just cause you’re paranoid, doesn’t mean they aren’t out to get you.” And yes, someone stole that line from me, not the other way round.

When you have small children, it is essential you teach them to be able to do some basic things well. Hide, be quiet when doing so, be quiet when told to be, and recognise various dangers from an early age. My own toddlers run to safety in the forest or on the porch as soon as they hear even the hint of a vehicle on our drive, even before they can see one. The smaller girls are a lost cause on being quiet, but the boy is good at it, and he’s not even 4 yet.

Teach your children to read and write as soon as possible. And let them see when you do other handyman stuff, so they can learn some basics.

If you can’t afford a motor-home, then you will need to adapt your normal vehicle or possibly pair of vehicles and drive in a small convoy if you have two cars. Sleeping bags that can work in very cold weather are a must, as you never know where you may need to sleep. Hence the tent or tents, along with basic tools for eventual proper shelter building down the line. You can build a cabin just using an axe, a saw a hammer and some nails and screws and failing that, even without the nails and screws. As someone said about such endeavours, they can only be described as “character building”, so not fun to do at all, but possible means you can survive. Fun is up to you to see in the darkest of moments.

Personally, I have taken the meagre monies I have out of the bank and keep it in cash now, mostly on my person, so you have to literally take me out to take it. Training for the coming days ahead, don’t you know. The financial crash has already begun and while I expect the completely unlimited printing of paper money and adding of digital zeros at will will stave off the immediate and total collapse of all banks everywhere, let’s just say it can’t be too far off.

Personally I’d be surprised (happily mind you) if we don’t hit the full start of the meltdown by 2024, but I am notoriously pessimistic and way too optimistic about the intelligence of the humans who surround me. Paradoxically, human stupidity will tend to delay the full melt-down, as I explained in the previous post on the coming crash. So you may have until 2025 or even 2026 or so, but I doubt we will ever reach 2030 without a horrific economic meltdown.

So… if I had a young family, I would be looking to buy that motor-home and maps of uninhabited land with decent water-tables so I can build a well somewhere. If I can afford the motor-home and still have some money left-over I would then buy some land or a property in a suitable rural areas I have scouted and judged good.

If I did own a house, I would probably sell it ASAP to get said land and said motorhome if I lived in a large city.

And if I already lived in a decent rural area and had stocked up on essentials then I would be talking with my neighbours calmly and long enough to make up my mind about who is someone I can rely on and who is not, when the zombie-horde happens.

Again, I am not telling you what to do. I am telling you what I would do given certain parameters.

Good luck to you all.

Alternative 3 for the Lone Wolves or Young Couples – James Warren Designs

PLEASE NOTE: I have ZERO commission, or any kind of business relationship with Wharram Designs. I bought a few of their study plans and wrote them a somewhat crazy email, thanking them for their work and Mr. Wharram for his designs. I received back a lovely letter and they posted me a gift of their two books and some articles. I highly recommend them and have links at the bottom for everything.

I have covered the big picture, (Part 1 of 4 is here) including many of the details that you need to shift to if you want to eventually be rid of the Globohomo Davos Trannies and their incel “elite” plans for you.

Alternative 1 is to just have a go-bag and weapons, whatever you can carry, a vehicle, that you can ideally sleep in, and have no family, friends of attachments, which I would assume is a very small number of people, and most of these are probably not of the healthiest frame of mind.

My Alternative 3 is not the famous one, though, if you have a spaceship, do come and see me we certainly need to talk!

My alternative 3 is the poor man’s version of the one where you jump into your anti-g spaceship and sail off to a better Galaxy.

I have been interested in yachts since I was a teenager. At age 16, I would have loved to have a yacht I could travel the world in, trading in odds and ends, like a merchant ship of old. I knew the world was already too filled with giant cargo ships to make that viable, but I also knew the world is a big place and someone always needs something somewhere, and if my upkeep was just my boat and myself, even “small” profit margins were probably ok for me to survive on. I read through a bunch of yachting magazines and even did a sailing course in Durban, while I kept trying to figure out how to get one. Yachts are expensive and normally not anything you can afford as a young guy who even almost ten years later was making ends meet by teaching karate, or working as a bodyguard, or even selling my first book, The Face on Mars (since updated). As it turns out I bought property with the proceeds of the book, and it was a better decision.

Perhaps, also, my having moved countries so much and relatively cheap flights making the long journeys at sea unnecessary to get where I wanted to go helped make me sort of forget my original dream, of sailing the world, probably around the equator, as I hate the cold, visiting remote tropical islands with their friendly suntanned females.

Whether by luck or providence, bad or good is hard to say, I did not come across the work of James Wharram. Then again, back then the internet did not exist and what yachting magazines I could get my hands on did not mention him. I know, because if I had come across a guy who was selling do it yourself designs of working, ocean capable catamarans, I definitely would have remembered.

I briefly toyed with possibly getting a dragonfly 25′ but even that was completely out of my reach financially in my mid 20s.

Well, James Wharram was a man after my own heart. He recently passed away, but he left an enduring legacy of catamaran designs that embody perfectly the spirit of adventure I had (and still have, despite 2 failed marriages, one awesome one I am currently living, and now 5 children).

If I was in my mid 20s now, I would almost certainly try and secure a place where to build it, then purchase one of the plans, selecting one depending on whether I had friends to help or not. Ideally, if I was just thinking of myself and my girlfriend/wife (and in today’s climate you really want it to be wife rather than girlfriend) I would probably go for the Tiki 30′ or Tiki 31′ design. Assuming I could afford the materials to build it. But if it’s just you or two of you and you’re willing to go at it even a bit rough and hard, even a tiki 21, design is good enough to escape the rat-race.

Now, make no mistake, building one of these is NOT a walk in the park. And sailing is NOT a joke. The ocean is like one of the old Gods of Ancient Greece. Read the Illiad and the Odyssey. Then read of how many die a watery death for being unprepared, untrained, or maybe just unlucky.

BUT. Think about it. A Tiki 21′ was successfully sailed across the Atlantic in 34 days. A Tiki 26′ sleeps 2 in the hulls with a chart table and galley, perfect for a young couple. And a deck tent would extend it to another 2, though your range would be limited.

If you stuck to the tropics, a Tiki 31′ could not only be a working boat, but also a cruiser for a couple.

The most versatile of the smaller designs, I think is the Tiki 30′ and also, comparatively easier to build, at only 900 hours, it almost makes no sense to build a Tiki 26′ which is about 700 hours.

Now… it is an absolute fact that many who start never finish, and even those who do can take years, but, gentle reader, whenever have I written for the average normie?

No, no, I write for the crazies, the fundamentalist Catholics, the zealots, the explorers and adventurers that have the blood of the old Venetian spice traders, or the Genoese discoverer of America, aptly named Cristoforo, or the Spanish conquistadors, and all other great adventuring tribes and people. I write for those determined enough that they would study the build plans of a Tiki 30′, which only cost £1035, after they first got the study plans, for a mere £19.50, obsessively. And calculate the costs and trips to get all the relevant materials, then beg, borrow or find a way to have a place to build it, and the tools for it, and then… figure out that 900 hours is a mere 90 days without breaks of ten hour shifts. A mere flirtation with Death and Father Time, really.

Of course, I am partial to the Tiki designs for some aesthetic reason, but there are numerous alternatives, and of course, if you have the funds, you could buy pre-built ones, or second hand ones and so on.

In my folly, at the age of 26, I actually called up a guy in Ireland that was selling a 70′ trimaran about 20-25 years old, pretty much only a year or so younger than I was. He was selling it very cheaply and also had the building plans. When I called him he told me he had already sold it, but he asked what experience I had on the sea. I said none. He was incredulous and laughed, telling me this was no boat for complete greenhorns. I told him that the prospect of learning how to skipper such a boat, even with the chance it might kill me if I screwed up, didn’t worry me. Not following my dreams was scarier. He then spent a good half an hour talking with me. Being an Irishman he probably could relate to the partially insane.

Anyway, the point is, if you’re tired of all the bullshit, of all the fakeness and gayness in life, and long for the few prospects of a meaningful and adventurous life, if you are healthy enough and determined enough, there is no reason you couldn’t build one of these boats and sail to warmer climates. Island hop and find other ways to live.

I also very strongly recommend James’ books, I have already read Two Girls Two Catamarans, which is a pretty amazing story. Mr. Wharram was obviously a bit of a libertine, but the way he faced life and the level of adventure and sheer determination he showed is quite astonishing. It is also inspiring, not so much for his having achieved every 16 year old’s dream of sailing an all-female crewed boat where you are on intimate terms with the whole crew, but, more importantly, showed what could be done, and still can be done if you adapt, and what will be possible to do again once we overcome the Davos Transgender, Transhumanist, “eat bugs and be happy” scum. The will and dreams of one man can achieve the seemingly impossible.

I am now 53, as I said, with a non-working olive tree farm and natural truffle farm, very little money, and five children, the older two being 11 and 7 and the rest all under 4 years old, the latest one not even 3 months old.

Our house still needs some painting and additional work on it to have all the wardrobes and things we will need as the children get older. Tomorrow is the first day of creche for the two little ones.

And oh yeah, I am trying to build a community of like minded zealots.

And my wife, though some would (and have) describe her as “trying to achieve Sanctification” I assume, of course, for her need to keep up with such a great catholic as myself eh… I can’t even bring myself to say it as a joke, but anyway, let’s say that being the party girl she was, and me being the savage I still am, and likely always will be, life has been interesting since we got together, and pretty much non-stop. I mean, our wedding anniversary will come up in a few months and it will then be 5 years.

In that time, we have:

  • Moved 3 times
  • Including moving all our stuff from the last home to a new country
  • Had one miscarriage…
  • …and three children
  • Spent the last 2 years so far, getting the house and farm in some kind of liveable order
  • We have travelled to Southern Africa to see my brother and my dad (each in a different country)
  • Went to Switzerland for a friend’s wedding, while my wife had a broken foot, on which, with an air-boot type thing on, she danced with me at the wedding reception of my friend, because, eh…broken foot is one thing, but you know…music! The woman can’t help herself when music comes on.
  • Driven through Europe from Venice to London, in my little convertible Mercedes I had bought when I was single and living in Venice.
  • Done it the other way too and then a bit more, in two cars, she with 3 children in the car, including our then 4 month old, and she did a 16 hour stretch, arriving to our place that didn’t even have a working sink in the kitchen, just a tap out the wall.
  • Had my daughter come and live with us too.

And that’s just the stuff I remember off the top of my head. To say it’s been easy would be a hilarious joke. Especially to her, since she was pretty much a city girl and had no real intention of being some kind of farm woman from the 1800s.

I do tease her from time to time, by telling her:

“See, it’s all you dreamed of. If they’d told you ten years ago that you’d be living with a tall, handsome, olivine skinned stranger, with our five children, in an idyllic olive grove farm with truffles and a forest you would have swooned.”

Her grumbling replies range from “I told you I used to be really stupid!” to “I’d tell myself to run! Run!”

They do say that couples who stay together to the end of their lives tend to tease each other with little barbs regularly. If that’s true, we’re going to the grave together in advanced old age.

But anyway, I tell you all this, because I wanted to give you a sense of why I haven’t yet told her that I am kinda thinking about, eventually, you know, one day, before we’re too old or anything like that, to maybe, like, possibly, build a Tiki boat from James Wharram Designs. I really am only looking at the Tiki 30’… sort of. Mostly because right now, even the plans are an expense we would be absolutely insane to make, never mind the building of it. But then again… with all the kids, we really should be looking at a Tiki 46′. I think maybe I can sell her on it. I mean, it’s only an estimated 4000 hours build! That’s just a couple of months more than a year working 10 hours a day on it non-stop. Weekends included and no matter the weather.

Maybe I should mention the importance of Sainthood more. I mean, it’s a good story…

From club promo girl…

To Sainthood.

You know, nice anchor, sword, weapon-stuff… thematic.

I may have to skip the part about how that particular Saint ended up though.

Then again, I have had a good life. If I end up murdered in my sleep I can’t complain too much.

And for those of you that missed it, my point is simply this:

Live, young man, LIVE! If a crazy bastard like me can still think about this stuff (and do it in a heartbeat if I scrounge up the money, somehow), what’s your excuse?
