So, for those just starting out to try and live off-grid, maybe with children, maybe without, unsure of how to go about it during this great Zombie Apocalypse… fear not, I will be sharing with you all the absolute ridiculousness of starting your farming life from scratch, with very little money and nothing more powerful than wildly optimistic thoughts.
APOCALYPSE QUALITY ENGINEERING WITH ZOMBIE HORDE PRECISION!
Which should give you an idea of the kind of strict and rigorous processes I insist on for all my handiwork.
The aim here is multifold, but overall simply to give you a view into several different skills and how I gradually go about learning and —I hope— Improve on them.
There are odd videos of just some random tool-building or piece of work I do on the farm, as well as more detailed and step by step series, like, for example, the Mini Lathe series, which takes a complete novice like myself and shows you how I go about getting, slowly taking apart and cleaning and setting up a Chinese made mini metal lathe.
I will eventually probably also upload the videos of the Gasifier Project, which is geared to building a working gasifier that can run a generator of about 2KW merely from the burning of wood or wood chips. This technology was widespread during the Second World War, but seems to have been almost lost, save for a few adventurer types that are trying to bring it back or experiment with it and am Italian company that builds large one for rural areas around the world.
I will also upload general videos about my day to day, or rather, week-to-week work on the farm and our gradual process to hopefully make it a commercially viable farm, though for the moment that seems pretty far away.
If you wish to support my efforts please go to The Kurganate and consider a small donation. Small recurring donations are perfectly fine too, including if it’s a single dollar a week or month. I will periodically let you know what, I get up to with any donations made, as I will generally try to save these for the purchase of tools or the odd coffee, depending on how much it amounts to, but I will in any case let you know. A few people have recently made very generous donations of about 100 dollars, and they received personal emails of thanks.
Remember that it’s not just olive farming for fun, I am trying to re-build proper catholic civilisation one tiny hamlet at a time, in a similar way to what the monks of over a thousand years ago did, but less vulnerable to depredations by Vikings. Mostly because we are the Vikings that got converted, as my family originates from crusaders returning from the Outremere in about 1200 AD.
